Cookies & your choices.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website secure, understand how visitors use it, and improve your experience. This policy explains what we use, why, and how you can control it.

Cookies Policy

Effective date: 2 May 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They store information about your preferences, login status, and browsing behaviour. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage.

2. Cookies we use

Category Purpose Duration
Strictly Necessary Essential for the website to function: security, session management, load balancing, consent storage. Session — 1 year
Performance / Analytics Help us understand how visitors interact with the site: page views, navigation paths, error rates. No personal identifiers. 1 day — 2 years
Functional Remember your choices: language preference, form inputs, accessibility settings. 1 month — 1 year
Marketing (optional) Used only if you opt in. Track effectiveness of campaigns and personalise content. We do not use third-party ad networks. 1 month — 1 year

3. Third-party cookies

We do not permit behavioural-advertising cookies. The only third-party services that may set cookies are:

  • Analytics: Plausible Analytics or Google Analytics (anonymised IP, no cross-site tracking).
  • Fonts: Google Fonts (no tracking cookies, but IP logging may occur).
  • Hosting/CDN: Cloudflare or AWS CloudFront (security and performance cookies).

We do not embed social-media trackers, retargeting pixels, or embedded advertising.

4. Consent & your choices

Under the ePrivacy Directive (EU), UK PECR, and similar laws in Malaysia (PDPA) and Singapore (PDPA SG), we obtain consent for non-essential cookies:

  • On first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
  • You can change your preference at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
  • Rejecting marketing/analytics cookies does not affect site functionality.
  • Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the site will not work without them.

5. Browser controls

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage cookies.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.

Note: blocking all cookies may degrade website functionality.

6. Do Not Track

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and Do Not Track (DNT) headers. If your browser sends these signals, we automatically disable optional analytics and marketing cookies.
