We started in Abu Dhabi in 2002 around a single discipline: building enterprise systems that survive the day they hit production. Five active countries and twenty-three years later, the discipline has not changed. The technology has.
We were founded in Abu Dhabi in 2002, a specialist networking and integration firm in an era when "enterprise tech" still meant fibre runs and Cisco config. Two things never changed since: an obsession with the bit-level detail no one else wanted to debug, and a refusal to take on work we could not be accountable for.
In 2006 we anchored a deep engineering capability in Pakistan, with offices in Lahore and Islamabad. In 2007 we opened in Canada. In 2008 we relocated our headquarters from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur, where we have been based ever since. Singapore opened in 2019; the United States in 2020; Uzbekistan in 2025; and Australia is in formation in 2026. The Singapore entity was rebranded under the SOFTNET name in 2025 as part of a group-wide brand consolidation.
The technology stack moved on, to cloud, to security, to AI; the operating philosophy did not. Every practice we have added since 2008 has been built by people we already trusted, on a foundation we already understood. The result is a consultancy that compounds: each year of work makes the next year's harder problems easier to solve, because we have already solved a version of them.

SOFTNET is our registered trade name, originally derived from "Software and Networking" when we started in Abu Dhabi in 2002. Today it simply means us — a group of technology practices across five countries.

SOFTNET Technologies Sdn Bhd is incorporated in Malaysia and majority-owned by Malaysian shareholders. Group entities in Singapore, USA, Uzbekistan and Pakistan operate under local shareholding structures with common governance.
ISO 27001:2022, ISO 9001, NACSA Licensed (Malaysia), HRDC Registered Training Provider, UTMspace partner, and Global ACE certification for selected training tracks. Individual consultants hold CREST, OSCP, CISSP, and other industry certifications.
